ABOUT CATHY

Cathy with a cute, happy baby

Hi, I’m Cathy Wooton

I became a lactation consultant because I know how hard those early weeks can feel. My goal is to make breastfeeding feel less overwhelming — and help you feel confident in your own body and your own home.

I earned my diploma in Nursing from Watts School of Nursing in 1997 and have spent more than 25 years caring for newborns and supporting their families (35 if I include my own). In 2005 I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I earned my BSN from Mt. Olive University in 2018.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and two grandchildren — and love reading, crafting and playing games.

MY APPROACH

ā€œFirst rule is to feed the baby. Second rule? See #1ā€

– Cathy mantra

Returning to work, starting solids, night weaning, growth spurts — these are predictable milestones that can disrupt supply and latching overnight. I help you prepare and work through them, not scramble after them.

Ready to work together?

I’d love to be part of your breastfeeding journey.
